September Favourites | Makeup, Skin Care & Hair Cair

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation

My favourite foundation, it's nice and hydrating and doesn't irritate my poopy sensitive dry skin (full review here)

Sleek Pout Paint

I'm really loving this too at the moment, it's quite a new purchase so i haven't wrote a full review on this yet. Its a really pigmented painty formula and a tiny bit goes such a long way.

Benefit "Dandy Brandy" Eye Shadow

I use this eyeshadow most days i really do love the colour, its nice and pigmented and lasts quite a while too.  (full review here)

Skin MD Natural shielding lotion

This was in my August favourites too, absolutely love it! (full review here)

L'occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream

Ahh, I love the smell of this. I use this everyday without fail, i love the smell so so much and its so moisturising and non stingy! (review here)

Jergens Naturals Cocoa Butter Moisturiser

This is my moisturiser of choice at the moment, its not too heavy or too light its just right. (full review here)

TRESemme' Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray

I bought this earlier in the month as it was on offer for just over £2 and was such a bargain i couldn't resist! I am absolutely loving this at the moment! I've never really been fussed about heat protection to be honest (naughty) but I've used this religiously since I've got it and i think it really helps! It does a good job of detangling before i blow dry my hair and stops them little white bobbly bits you get on your ends when you straighten your hair. i recommend this highly :) best heat protection spray i have used so far. Full review to come soon.

L'Oreal Eversleek Absolute Smooth Intense Mask

This was in my August empties and i repurchased it as i love it so much. My hair is quite long and gets soo dry! At the weekend i put this on, wrap a bag around my hair to stop the conditioner escaping and then i wrap a towel around to keep in the heat for half an hour. This works wonders on my hair, honestly the difference is amazing! I also recommend this product for anyone with thick frizzy wavey hair like me .. :)

Revlon | Age Defying DNA Advantage Foundation Review

in 15 Tender Beige

What Revlon say:
Revlon Age Defying with DNA Advantage cream makeup combines makeup and powerful anti-ageing skincare to help protect skin's DNA to fight the signs of ageing.

I really like the packaging of this foundation which is what first attracted me to it. The foundation inside is all swirly and it looks really pretty. It comes with a pump too so its easy to use and nice and hygienic.
.
I'm usually an NC20 in mac foundations and this is a great colour match for me. It has quite a light sheer finish so its not really heavy on your face. It doesn't cover blemishes all that well but it does even out your skin tone, although my pink cheeks do show through a little. It doesn't have a very strong fragrance but there is a slight floraly scent lurking which is nice.

I wouldn't say that this foundation improves my skin, I'm only 22 so i don't have any wrinkles just yet but i like that it has a nice dewy healthy finish which doesn't go all cakey.

I do have dry skin and this does keep it hydrated and my skin doesn't react to it which is great although i wouldn't say it lasts all that long so you do have to re-apply later in the day.

I do like this foundation and i would recommend it however, it doesn't beat my HD foundation at the moment which is YSL touche eclat foundation, i cant tell you how much love i have for this foundation- i did however attempt to in this review here!

What did you think of this foundation or what's your favourite?

Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara Review

I really wanted to love this mascara, I had been eyeing it up for absolutely ages.

Firsty, i do love the brush - the small tip of the brush makes it nice and easy to get the little lashes in the corners and the bigger end makes it easy to wiggle up your lashes.

But..

I wouldn't recommend this if you have sensitive eyes like me. I had a really bad reaction to this - my eyelids went red and swollen. The thing i noticed with this mascara is it smells like perfume. I wouldn't of thought you would put fragrance in a mascara??

Unfortunately i wont be using this again let alone buying it again :(

Did anyone else have this problem?

Clinique | Take The Day Off Cleansing Milk Review

I'm not a fan of this cleanser, i find it really dries my skin out. It does have a nice runny milky consistency and it does get your make up of but its just so so drying! It also stings my eye area like crazy!

I really like the packaging and the pump is very handy but that's the only positives i have on this unfortunately.

I must prefer my Garnier cleansing lotion to this it has the same consistency, doesn't sting and its so much cheaper!

Did anyone else find this cleanser drying?

bareMinerals | Good to Glow Review & Swatches

In Light
£23.00

Origional SPF 15 Foundation

What they say:
100% pure mineral foundation looks like a powder, feels like a cream and buffs on like silk for flawless coverage with natural luminosity

Light on the Left & Fairly Light on the Right
I really like this foundation, I have very dry skin so I was a bit worried at first as powders can be very drying on my skin. The colour match was brilliant for me, I got this in fairly light and I'm usually a NC20 in MAC foundations.
It does feel really silky and didn't settle and make me look cakey and I don’t find that this makes my skin any dryer than it already is which is defo a bonus!
My sensitive skin hasn't reacted to this which was another thing I was worried about as I’d seen a few reviews that had mentioned reactions to this. Luckiy all was okay!

I didn’t find that it covered blemishes that brilliantly but I use my MAC Studio Sculpt concealer for those little sods anyway. This powder did even out my complexion nicely and concealed my red cheeks well which is what I look for.

I do like this foundation but it’s more of a matt finish as it’s a powder. I do still love my YSL Touché Éclat foundation as it’s a bit dewier but I'll still be using this as it has a nice finish. I may even switch this up with my HD powder – MAC Mineralizeskin finish.

Marvellous Moxie Lipgloss in Rebel

What they say:
This luscious lipgloss delivers sheer, vivid colour and a shiny mirror like finish that lasts for hours.

This is a nice pinky sheer colour & is definately something i would wear and i think it would suit most people to be honest! It smells minty and leaves a tingly feeling on your lips (a bit like carmex does). It does feel a little sticky but it wouldn't stop me wearing it. I wouldnt say that it lasts hours either but i dont think i have ever had a lip gloss that does? I will be using this but i dont think i would purchase this again as i do prefer my Bourjois Sweet kiss lipstick.

Blush in Beauty

What they say:
This creamy, lightweight blush gives your skin a healthy, fresh vibrancy that looks and feels natural.

This blush is a nice pinky colour and again is something i would wear and i think it would suit most skin tones.
This is a nice lightweight blush and it went on nice and easy without going patchy. A little goes a long way as its quite pigmented.
I will definitely be wearing this, it's very similar to the colour of the blusher i wear most days and i like the thought that its mineral blush.
I would buy this again and perhaps try a few other colours :)

Ready SPF Touch Up Veil

What they say:
Diffuses the look of imperfections while reducing shine for a flawless finish throughout the day.

I didn't swatch this it was basically invisible on my hand. I'm not keen on the little puff thingy i much prefer using a brush for this.
I feel like I put too much powder on my face if i use this after the bareMinerals foundation to be honest but its not a bad product. It does take away the shine and leaves a matt finish which i guess is the purpose of it! I don't get shiney during the day though so perhaps thats why i dont find myself reaching for it.

Flawless Application Brush

What they say:
Natural, soft tapered bristles provide light to medium coverage.

This brush feels so soft! It's my favourite brush i own now, I even use it for my other non bareMineral powders - because i'm naughty like that ;) I would agree that its low to medium coverage, its not heavy at all - i really do love it.

Has anyone else tried this? What did you think?

NOTD | Pinky Purply Polkadots

I really love this!

I used Essie Foot Loose for the base (review here) and konad stamped over the top in white with plate M79

NOTD | Essie in 'Foot Loose'

I really Lurrrve this colour, it's a nice pinky purpley colour. Love Love Love it!

Essie Nail Varnishes are lovely quality and they dry so quickly! really recommend these :)

Garnier | Miracle Skin Perfector

All in One BB Cream
£5.99

What Garnier Say:
Our innovative all-in-one technology hydrates for up to 24 hours and is enriched with a Vitamin C derivative.
It boosts radiance for skin that looks luminous.

Concentrated in mineral pigments, the formula perfects the appearance of the skin, leaving a unified, natural look.

Miracle Smiracle :| - Didn't like this at all.

It has a very thick creamy texture and a very strong floral scent. I don't find that this moisturises my skin and it sticks to my dry patches really badly after a couple of hours. It also really stings my face when i apply it - not good! .. Could it be the fragrance?

I know its a bb cream and not a foundation but it has hardly any coverage for me and it doesn't conceal my red cheeks or blemishes at all, it also oxidises after a few hours :( I find the more you put on the more shinier your face gets so you end up having to set it with a little powder.
It has a nice dewy finish when you first apply it but i find it soon dries if you know what i mean and it also dries my skin at the same time!

I wouldn't buy this again :(

Have you tried this? What did you think?

Jergens | Naturals Cocoa Butter Body Moisturiser

Jergens Naturals Cocoa Butter Body Moisturiser

What Jergens Say:
Made with 96% natural ingredients, this highly effective formula moisturises and visibly firms cellulite-prone skin in two uses. It absorbs quickly into the skin. Use daily.

I really love this moisturiser, the smell is gorgeous. This makes my skin feel nice and soft and sinks in quickly which is always a bonus. I'd say this was a bit lighter than my other favourite body Garnier moisturiser (review here) but it's still nice and thick which is perfect for my dry skin.

Will definitely be repurchasing this when it runs out!

Does anyone else love this as much as me?

MAC Makeup | Mineralize Skin Finish in Light Plus Review & Pictures

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Light Plus

I bought this from the mac store online for £21, I didn't want a really heavy powder so I thought I’d give this a try

What MAC say:
A luxurious domed face powder with minerals slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day.

I love this powder, it’s defiantly the best one I have ever used and may have to say it’s even my HG for the moment! It very soft, silky and very natural - It's not cakey at all. I use NC20 foundations and this colour (light plus) seems to work well with those.

MAC say that's it’s a low coverage but I’d say that this is definitely buildable. I use this every day and it doesn't break me out and it doesn't seem to irritate or dry my skin out like most other powders.

I brush a little of this over my under eye concealer to set and it seems to work fine with me, it doesn’t settle in my lines. It also doesn’t oxidise at all which is great, I’ve tries so many different powders in the past and this is the one I’ve stuck with.

Definitely a thumbs up from me, will be buying this again when it runs out!

What is your favourite powder?

Yes to Cucumber | Daily Gentle Cleanser Review & Pictures

What they say:

Yes to cucumbers and green tea for a gentle, soothing, gel-based cleanse. Cucumbers are packed with vitamins A and C, so they're the perfect calming agents for skin. Toss into the mix skin soothers, like aloe vera and green tea - to rebuild, protect and soothe sensitive skin.
    • Hypoallergenic and non-irritating
    • Dermatologist tested
    • 96% natural product
    • Paraben, petroleum and SLS free
    • Cruelty free
I found this cleanser on line and loved the name! I thought i would try it out as i loved all the points listed above and £8.99 isn't too extreme.
This cleanser has a strong cucumber scent to it which I'm not a fan of but it does do a good job.
The tube makes it nice and easy to squeeze out however much you want, the packaging is nice and tidy lol its not all that pretty but i'm not to fussed about that.

My skin is easily irritated and this seems to keep it at bay, i really do like it.
It has a gel like consistency that foams up when you rub it in. The gel is a little sticky at first but once it lathers up its fine.

I don't wear tones of makeup, but what i do wear comes off easily with this cleanser. I often do two rinses to make sure all my makeup comes off and it still doesn't irritate me which is great.

It says to avoid the eyes which is a brilliant tip as it does sting like hell if you get this in them!

I'd say this is my favourite cleanser at the moment. I used to use Garnier gentle cleansing lotion but i prefer this at the moment.

I recommend this product for anyone with dry sensitive skin like me :)

Has anyone tried the Yes to cucumbers mask?
