November Wishlist .. Hello credit card bill

Hi Girlies ,

It's so close to pay day and there are so many things on my wish list already! I haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet either - tut tut ..

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation
I've heard so many great reviews on this stuff but i love my YSL touch eclat foundation so much and i have lots left so i just cant justify buying this yet. However, i could easily be persuaded so leave your comments below!

Bobbi Brown Creamy Corrector
I got matched up to porcelain when shopping a few weeks ago and when i went to buy it they didn't have that colour, bloody typical ay! Next time I'm anywhere close to a department store this baby is mine!

YSL Poudre Compact Radiance Powder
I'm running low on my MAC Mineralise skin finish powder and so I'm on the hunt for a new powder to try. I absolutely love the sound of this but i cannot find any reviews on it anywhere! Bad sign?

Macadamia Deep Repair Mask
I have the macadamia hair oil and i absolutely love it, this is such an expensive conditioner but i can imagine its just as amazing as the hair oil.

Muji Stoage
I think everyone is jumping on the Muji bandwagon but i just think it looks so tidy, neat & pretty.

Roberto Cavalli
This is number one on my Christmas list, it is the most loveliest smell i have ever smelt. It's just gorgeous.

Tangle Teezer
I need this in my life! My hair has been unbelievably tangled recently and i have to rake through it with my hairbrush - not good!

Please let me know your advice if you have any!?

Top 5 Foundations for Dry Skin ♥

YSL Touche Eclat foundation
MAC Studio Sculpt foundation
Boujois healthy Mix foundaton
Revlon Age Defying
bareMinerals Original Foundation

L-R: MAC Studio Sculpt, YSL Touch Eclat, Bourjois Healthy Mix, Revlon Age Defying
Centre: bareMinerals

The YSL Touche Eclat foundation is definately my favourite for every day use, its fragrance free and not irritating at all. It doesn't have the heaviest coverage and it is quite a runny consistency but it is nice and buildable with a dewy finish, it also doesn't set or exaggerate them dry bits which is great. I have so much love for this foundation!

MAC Studio Sculpt foundation is my favourite for a night out or that special occasion, the coverage is ammmazing and hides all them little lurking blemishes!! Its a gel formula so its not drying, although it is quite thick so i find its a bit to heavy for every day wear.

The Boujois healthy Mix foundation is a heavier coverage than the YSL but much lighter than the MAC Studio Sculpt. It does have a slight fragrance to it but its not irritating at all. This doesn't last as long as the YSL or MAC studio sculpt but its still one of my favourites to date!

The Revlon Age Defying is pretty similar to the YSL really, it has a very dewy finish with quite a light coverage - maybe a little less coverage than the YSL. It does have a slight scent too. It doesnt last all that long which is why i prefer the YSL, it lasts better with a little powder but that kinda defeats the point of the dewy look.

The bareMinerals Original Foundation is a recent find of mine, i was always worried to try it as i had read some really bad reviews. I have the most sensitive skin ever and i have never had a reaction to this. Although it's a powder it doesn't look all cakey and dry which is what i was expecting. I often use a little bit of this to settle my liquid foundation, it leaves a bit of dewyness behind which i love.

I'd love to know your favourite foundation?

Revlon | Age Defying DNA Advantage Foundation Review

in 15 Tender Beige

What Revlon say:
Revlon Age Defying with DNA Advantage cream makeup combines makeup and powerful anti-ageing skincare to help protect skin's DNA to fight the signs of ageing.

I really like the packaging of this foundation which is what first attracted me to it. The foundation inside is all swirly and it looks really pretty. It comes with a pump too so its easy to use and nice and hygienic.
.
I'm usually an NC20 in mac foundations and this is a great colour match for me. It has quite a light sheer finish so its not really heavy on your face. It doesn't cover blemishes all that well but it does even out your skin tone, although my pink cheeks do show through a little. It doesn't have a very strong fragrance but there is a slight floraly scent lurking which is nice.

I wouldn't say that this foundation improves my skin, I'm only 22 so i don't have any wrinkles just yet but i like that it has a nice dewy healthy finish which doesn't go all cakey.

I do have dry skin and this does keep it hydrated and my skin doesn't react to it which is great although i wouldn't say it lasts all that long so you do have to re-apply later in the day.

I do like this foundation and i would recommend it however, it doesn't beat my HD foundation at the moment which is YSL touche eclat foundation, i cant tell you how much love i have for this foundation- i did however attempt to in this review here!

What did you think of this foundation or what's your favourite?

Garnier | Miracle Skin Perfector

All in One BB Cream
£5.99

What Garnier Say:
Our innovative all-in-one technology hydrates for up to 24 hours and is enriched with a Vitamin C derivative.
It boosts radiance for skin that looks luminous.

Concentrated in mineral pigments, the formula perfects the appearance of the skin, leaving a unified, natural look.

Miracle Smiracle :| - Didn't like this at all.

It has a very thick creamy texture and a very strong floral scent. I don't find that this moisturises my skin and it sticks to my dry patches really badly after a couple of hours. It also really stings my face when i apply it - not good! .. Could it be the fragrance?

I know its a bb cream and not a foundation but it has hardly any coverage for me and it doesn't conceal my red cheeks or blemishes at all, it also oxidises after a few hours :( I find the more you put on the more shinier your face gets so you end up having to set it with a little powder.
It has a nice dewy finish when you first apply it but i find it soon dries if you know what i mean and it also dries my skin at the same time!

I wouldn't buy this again :(

Have you tried this? What did you think?

Chanel Makeup | Vitalumiere Aqua Fresh and Hydrating Cream Compact Makeup Review

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Fresh and Hydrating Cream Compact Makeup

I purchased this in shade 20 Beige for £39 from Boots at Lakeside. I do have dry skin so I do like a hydrating foundation. I was a little bit disappointed with this if I’m honest, especially for the price I paid for it!

It comes in a gorgeous black compact (obviously) with a sponge and a mirror which does look gorgeous on your dressing table. There is also a double lid for freshness which is good idea.

When I first apply this after my moisturiser, is does make my face feel soft and does have a medium coverage. However after a couple hours I do find that it sticks to my dry patches and makes my skin feel dehydrated :(

It doesn’t spread easily onto your face either if I’m honest. I get eczema on my face so this is a hassle for me as I have to pull my face around :( .. I find that it’s easier to use a foundation brush so it moves a bit more freely.

Less is definitely more with this product too as it can look a little cakey if you apply too much it does take a lot of rubbing in too which also sets off my sensitive skin.

Overall, this foundation does feel soft and smooth at first (after rubbing it in like a maniac) however it doesn’t last very long and after a few hours it looks horrendous on me! I don’t think this is for us dry/sensitive skin girls personally... YSL Touch Éclat foundation beats this by miles (click here for review)

YSL Makeup | Touche Eclat Foundation Review & Swatch

YSL Touché Éclat Foundation Review and Swatch
In BD20

I had to try this as I love the Touch Éclat highligher and I thought this must behave in the same way.

Firstly I should mention that I have the most sensitive skin ever! I get super dry skin due to eczema and it’s very easily irritated :(.

I've got to say that I love love love this foundation, its A-mazing!! It's my favourite foundation I have ever used, I've used it every single day since I bought it and I haven't had a reaction or broken out.

I purchased this in BD20 which it a slightly more yellow-y colour so it cancels out my redness a bit and I absolutely love it. It doesn't have fragrance either which is a massive bonus for me!

It doesn't dry my skin out like most other foundations and in fact I think it may actually help to keep my skin hydrated. I applied this first thing this morning after moisturising and my skin still feels soft and not rough and dry as it usually would when I wear foundation.

The packaging is lovely too, very posh. As you can see from the picture the bottle is glass with gold writing on the side and a gold lid. It is quite a heavy bottle so this may be a downside if you’re carrying it around with you? Saying that, I have dropped this and it didn't smash so I think it deserves a few brownie points for that.

I can't recommend this foundation enough, it’s my favourite by far and I have tried a lot of different foundations!!

MAC Makeup | Studio Sculpt Foundation Review & Swatch

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation Review
in NC20

I bought this for £24 in Mac at Westfield’s :)

If you have read any of my other reviews you will know I have the most dry, sensitive skin ever :(  so I'm on the hunt for my perfect foundation which hydrates my skin and doesn't cling to my dry patches or irritate me to high heaven :)

So anyway,  I thought I'd give this a go as it’s a nice gel foundation and it is described as 'hydrating' which is a defo a plus for me!

I have to say straight away that I Love Love Love this foundation.. It’s definitely up there with the YSL Touché Éclat foundation (click here for review)

It’s described as medium/build able coverage which I would definitely agree with as it covers my pink cheeks and blemishes with no problems and doesn't accentuate them at all! I purchased this in NC20 as it’s got the cool tone which counteracts my redness (result!). It spreads nice and easily too. It does smell a little bit like paint but it’s not unpleasant at all.

It has a nice dewy finish and makes my skin feel soft and moisturised which is really rare for me. This doesn't dry my skin out at all which really surprised me to be honest as I tried the MAC mineralize foundation but I didn't really like that. As this is quite a full coverage I do find that with frequent use it does give me a few blemishes so I often stick to this on a night out or on that special occasion.

This is definitely one of my favourite foundations as it makes my skin look flawless (which it isn't) so it is hard to leave it alone at times!

If anyone knows of good foundations for dry/sensitive skin pleasssse let me know :)
