Benefit They're Real Mascara - Believe The Hype People! ♥♥

If like me you didn't jump on the bandwagon (at first) then you should! This mascara is amazing, it beats my top two mascaras hands down! I was always a little tempted to buy this mascara due to all the rave reviews but as I'm so fussy about my mascaras I just thought the price was too expensive to risk not liking it.

I was making a few new purchases in boots and noticed this little tester option, being in an 'oh sod it' mood I picked one up and and I'm so pleased i did. I love it!

I don't have the longest eyelashes so I like something that keeps them nice and curled after curling them and this does just that. It doesn't go all clumpy, it dries nice and quickly, lasts all day and doesn't flake off - its just so lovely to use. My boyfriend even commented saying that my eye lashes look more 'spruced' lol.

The brush is a little fiddly as this is only half the size but its not too much of a hassle. The wand is plastic and applys the mascara nicely, the bobble at the end is handy for getting into the corners too - I always assumed this would be a pain in the ass but it's not!

Would I repurchase? YES! It is an expensive mascara compared to drug store brands but this is the best mascara I have tried (and I'm fussy so that's saying something!)

Have you tried this mascara? What did you think?

Eyebrows | Mac Omega Eyeshadow Review

I really hate my eyebrows.
What ever I do with them I'm never happy and can never get them to look even! I've been growing them since christmas and they are thicker than they were but I just find one is much more curved than the other.. does anyone else find this with their eyebrows??
I've been using this in conjunction with my Clinique fine liner brow pencil which I also really love and they work really well together. Its a nice soft matte brown which is perfect for my light mousey brown eyebrows. I love that this doesn't have a red/orange tinge to it which I find with most 'light brown' colours - I'm looking at you Rimmel eyebrow pencil!
If I have enough time then I try to even out my shape with an angled brush if not then I run some through with an eyebrow comb and it just darkens them up a little. I have to fill in the bottom of my eyebrow more as this area is a little more sparse. I find that this is quite a versatile colour, its quite a light brown but it is very buildable which is nice if you prefer a more dramatic brow.

Clinique Lid Smoothie in Born Freesia Review & Swatches

Hey Girlies!

I was actually looking to buy one of the new clinique chubby sticks for eyes when I wondered over to the clinique counter but they had totally sold out! So I settled for this little tube of antioxidant goodness instead.

I went for the color 'born freesia' which is a lilacy grey colour, its very pretty and quite subtle on the eye lids which makes it perfect for work. It applies nice and smoothly and doesnt crease which makes a nice change! It's not sticky in the slightest either which is a must for me.

I have to be honest, it doesn't last 8 hours. I'd say a good 3 or 4 before it dissappears on me, I dont have particulaly oily eyelids either they are more on the dryer side if anything.

The cooling applicator is really nice but I do use a brush to blend it out once the product is applied as the applicator does seam to just smudge it around a little.

Overall a very nice product and I have been reaching for it daily, I do still want to try the chubby sticks though!!

Have you tried these or the chubby sticks yet?

Maybelline Liner Definer Pen Eyeliner Review & Swatch

I'm really lazy when it comes to eyeliner, I really love the flicky look but can never perfect it and it always ends up being such a hassle having to wipe it off and start again that most days I don't actually bother with it anymore. However, for the times where I can be bothered I either reach for this pen or my Maybelline studio gel line (review here).

I find this easier to use as the brush that comes with the gel liner is a little bit harder to master compared to just 'drawing it' on your face although the gel does give a more defined and darker look which I actually prefer.

This pen glides on nicely and isn't too bendy or too stiff (naughty), the nib is nice and soft (felt I think) and it doesn't pull on your eyelid on the way over, although sometimes you do have to run the pen over a few times to get good colour payoff. It doesn't bleed into tiny little eye creases and it comes off easy with makeup remover.

This can smudge if that's what you want but once it's dried it does stay put. It doesn't last brilliantly, it does fade after 5 or so hours (I find that the studio gel lasts so much better!).

I thought I liked this pen but reading this review back it doesn't sound that convincing does it!  I do prefer the the studio gel but my dodgy handwork puts me off - but practice makes perfect I guess! x

Benefit Velvet Eyeshadow in 'Bikini Line' Review & Swatch

This is my second benefit eyeshadow (review on my first one here) & I love them! The quality is lovely, they are so pigmented and last really well and the packaging is cute.

This shade is Bikini Line which is a gorgeous shimmery pale yellow/light gold, I's not something I would usually go for but it's really lovely and great for a bit of highlighting too.

Have you tried these eyeshadows? What did you think?

NYX Taupe Blush Review & Swatches

Hey Lovelys ,

I'm sure you have seen reviews on this little blush before but I thought I'd throw my little review into the mix too!

I've tried one of the NYX cream blushes before and I loved it! (Read that post here) but I've never tried their powder blushes before this one.
The shade of this blush is perfect for contouring on pale skin. It looks a little shimmery in the picture but it doesnt contain glitter is it nice and matte! I was using the sleek contour kit in light before which I did love but it was a little too muddy/dark for me, but this is just perfect. It's not too orangy and not to muddy, it really does look natural when you apply it. You can also really build this up without it looking cakey.

It's not the most pigmented of blushes but I actually prefer that as it's easier to work with and it doesn't end up looking all blotchy. (I find that the sleek blushes are so pigmented that you have to be so careful when applying!)

The staying powder is quite good but not brilliant, I apply this in the morning and it has pretty much rubbed off by the time I get home but I don't use any primer or setting sprays so those could help!

This costs around £5 and I think its a bargain, really love this and recommend it!

Have you tried any NYX blushes before?

Revlon | Lip Butters Review & Swatches ' Lollipop' & 'Strawberry Shortcake'

 Hi Girls

I've got another review for you today .. I really love these!

These baby's are so soft and moisturising and they are just so easy to apply, they are so smooth they just glide on with no tugging. They are not quite a lipstick I'd say but they are thicker than a balm. Sort of like a butter i guess ;)

I think the packaging is really cute, it's not too bulky to carry around with you which i like although i do sometimes catch the lip butter when replacing the lid! also, as the shape is a bit different you can feel around in your bag to find them.

You can either get a nice sheer wash of colour or build it up for a nice pop, i love the 'lollipop' colour on the weekend as it just so bright and gorgeous. They do have quite a shine to them so if you was after a matte look i don't think these are really for you.

These actually last quite a while seeming how soft & buttery they are, I'd say a good couple of hours before you have to reapply. I find that the brighter it is the longer it lasts.

I'd say these were a little sticky in my opinion, not that i mind as it's so moisturising but it's not as sticky as a gloss would be. As these are so soft they do go down quite quickly so at £7.99 they are quite expensive but if you pick one up with a 3 for 2 it works out so much cheaper!

I really love these and i really recommend, i will definitely be purchasing a few more colours :)

Have you tried these? Whats your favourite?

MUA Nail Varnish Review & Swatch

In All Nude

The colour of this is a nice pearly white but i wouldn't really call it nude? The nail polish itself is good it dries fairly quickly but you do need quite a few coats ( I done 4 on the pic above). The only problem I had was the brush, it was sooo bad it was impossible to make it even. The brush kept making all streaky *mad face*. Has anyone else had this problem with these nail varnishes? These nail varnishes are a bargain at £1 though so I cant really complain!

Click here for my NOTD with this as a base.

Maybelline Superstay Tint Gloss Review, Pictures & Swatches

In Forever Fuchsia & Lasting Pink
£6.99

I really like these glossy lip tints, I probably use these the most out of my lip sticks & glosses. I prefer the Lasting Pink as the Forever Fuchsia has a purpley tone to it.
It doesn't last anywhere near 16 hours on me more like 1 or 2 hours at most but it does leave a very subtle colour behind which i like.  I like the smell of this too, it smells like sweets and the wand is a nice heart shape which makes it easy to apply.
I don't feel like this drys my lips out or irritates them but it does dry after a while if that makes sense?
I do like this lip stain however I don't think I love them enough to buy them again, I have recently tried the sleek pout paint which I really like - review to come soon :)

Have you tried out any of these, what did you think?

Bourjois Sweet Kiss Shine Review & Swatch

Bourjois Sweet Kiss Shine Review & Swatch
Colour: 70 Framboise Petillant

I really like this lipstick although I'd say its leaning more towards a thick gloss maybe? It's really shiney and soft and it doesn't dry out my lips. The packaging is really cute too but quite bulky, but that doesn't bother me.
The colour looks quite sheer in the swatch but this is buildable and can end up REALLY bright if that's what ya fancy.
I'd say it lasts around an hour on me before i have to re apply it but i don't apply it very heavily so maybe that's why. It does keep my lips moisturised for quite a while which i love.
Would definitely repurchase this!

Has you tried any of these lipsticks? What did you think?

Benefit Dandy Brandy Velvet Eyeshadow Review, Swatch & Pictures

Benefit Velvet Eyeshadow in Dandy Brandy

What Benefit say:
These velvet eyeshadows glide on light as a feather & the gorgeous shades look fabulous on everyone! Glide on bare lids for a dose of sheer, velvety colour or layer over creaseless cream shadows for even richer colour.

This eyeshadow its really soft and easy to blend, Its very pigmented and nice & sparkly too!

I really love this colour, its a bronzy goldy brown. I sometimes blend this with a pink eyeshadow and it goes a gorgeous deep purple.

I don't find that this settles or creases and lasts a day at work which is around 7 or 8 hours although it could do with a little touch up to keep the colour strong.
I may have to be a bit naughty and get another colour I love this so much. I really recommend these, this is definitely my favourite eyeshadow by far.

Benefit Erase Paste Concealer Review, Pictures & Swatch

Benefit Erase Paste Concealer Review & Swatches

I brought a sample of this from ebay in shade 1 but this was a bit to light for me so i took the plunge and brought the full side in shade 2 hoping it would be a better colour match for me (risky risky), luckily it was allll fine :)

I find this concealer very creamy and thick but i don't think its my favourite for under the eyes. Saying this, i do opt for this if i look really tired. I layer it on with MAC moisture cover (review here) or YSL touch eclat as i find these are more moisturising and you can just pat those on. With the erase paste i have to sort of work it in a bit more to blend it in.

I find that this is great for right in the corner of your eye where it touches your nose (hope that explains it enough lol) as it covers my very bluey purple shadows well. I just set it with a little MAC powder to keep it in place - HG powder alert! (review here)
This tiny pot was quite expensive at £19.50 but you don't have to use much at a time so i guess it does last a while.

The pot is a pain in the ass though, you do get a little spatula to scoop it out with but you have to go raiding through your make up bag trying to find it - I do have a naughty habit of just shoving my finger in instead of using the spatula- oops :)

I would buy this again its not a horrendous product and i see it lasting a long time.

What do you think of this concealer?

Sleek Makeup | Face Contour Kit Review, Swatch & Pictures

Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit in Light
(£6.49)

What Sleek Say:

The Face Contour Kit combines a dark matte pressed powder and an illuminating highlighter, in a handbag-friendly mirrored palette. Contour Kit works to sculpt your features and has amazing slimming effects.

The packaging on this is really gorgeous and cute and it feels really posh! It's quite compact and sturdy too so its easy to pop in your bag for on the go.

The powder is super pigmented and quite dark so you do have to be quite careful when you apply it and don't use too much . It' has a matt finish and is perfect for contouring (ha, funny that ay!)

The highlighter is very pretty and very sparkly but it is nice. I use the highlighter on my eyes too sometimes to spice things up a bit!

I recommend this its a great product for a great price you cant go wrong with that.

What's your favourite sleek product?

MAC Makeup | Studio Sculpt Concealer Review, Pictures, Swatches & Dupe

Mac Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC20

I Luuuuurve this concealer, this is probably my favourite for covering any blemishes.
Its really thick and stays where you put it! I find it's a little too thick for under my eyes and it can crease a bit, but I usually use the moisture cover for that anyway - ha! (review here).

I definitely agree that its full coverage but I do set it with a little powder as I find it can sometimes disappear without it - the little bugger!
It costs £14.50 for a pot but it lasts for absolutely ages! If this is too expensive for you then  you can buy a similar product, a 'dupe' if you like, for around a fiver by NYX - its called concealer in a jar.

Whats your favourite concealer?
