The Body Shop | Honey Bronze Face Gel

Hi Girlies ,

So the basics first! I have very dry sensitive skin and when ever I apply fake tan is always go so patchy that I end up having to scrub it off and I'm back to being pale again so it's really not worth it for me :(

A few months back, I think it was a friends birthday or something like that but I ordered this online for half price (£12 reduced to £6) thinking that I would just give it a try. It's a wash off bronzing face gel which is also meant to moisturise your skin at the same time. It contains honey which I love anyways and honey is actually what I use as my daily cleaner (review here if you are curious).

This gel is really lovely and it doesn't irritate or dry my skin out at all which is amazing for me! You can get a nice subtle glow or build it up for a darker look if that's what you fancy. I applied quite a bit to a small section so the picture looks pretty dark! The Gel sinks in pretty quickly and it doesn't feel sticky at all. It doesn't have a dewy effect it's just sort of a soft silky feel.  I think this does moisturise my skin a little which is a positive for me and it does last quite well. I think this would suit all kind of skin types as it's not greasy. I don't apply this every day, just on nights out & it does stay put for the evening.

I don't think that you don't get much product in the tube for £12 but when its 50% off I think its definitely worth it and I will be repurchasing when mine runs out.

Have you tried this? What did you think?

The Body Shop | Aloe Vera Body Butter Review

 Hey Girlies,

So i've got another review for you today, hope you like it! x

What The Body Shop Say:
This gentle Body Butter is a feast for the skin. It melts straight in to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. It contains Community Fair Trade organic aloe vera and is fragrance-free.

OMG i love this stuff! This is honestly the most amazing body product I have ever used on my sensitive dry skin. The fact that it's fragrance free is a positive for me as it's one less thing to aggravate my skin. It has a faint smell to it but it doesn't bother me and its not enough at all to put me off using it. If your skin isn't as sensitive as mine I'm sure the other fragranced ones would be amazing too but if it is then i highly recommend trying this.
I haven't really tried body shop products until recently but i don't know why! I really wish i had tried this sooner. I've tried so many different body creams, lotions & butters and this is by far the best - i don't think i will try another again this winter. I haven't used this in the hotter months as it's a recent purchase so maybe it could be a little heavy but i have no idea yet as its bloody freezing at the moment and i cant even remember what summer is like!

I'm pretty sure most of you would have tried a body butter from the body shop before (unless you're like me) but if not they are so creamy and buttery and they melt right into your skin. They don't feel sticky or greasy at all but they leave a slight moistness to your skin after which i like and is just perfect if you want your dry skin to feel comfortable.

I apply this straight after the bath/shower to lock in the moisture and i have really seen a big improvement in the condition of my skin. My skin isn't dry or flakey at all at the moment and its all thanks to this!

I will definitely be repurchasing this, there's no doubt about it (HG,HG,HG). I am nearly out of mine so will need to stock up shortly!

Chanel Makeup | Vitalumiere Aqua Fresh and Hydrating Cream Compact Makeup Review

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Fresh and Hydrating Cream Compact Makeup

I purchased this in shade 20 Beige for £39 from Boots at Lakeside. I do have dry skin so I do like a hydrating foundation. I was a little bit disappointed with this if I’m honest, especially for the price I paid for it!

It comes in a gorgeous black compact (obviously) with a sponge and a mirror which does look gorgeous on your dressing table. There is also a double lid for freshness which is good idea.

When I first apply this after my moisturiser, is does make my face feel soft and does have a medium coverage. However after a couple hours I do find that it sticks to my dry patches and makes my skin feel dehydrated :(

It doesn’t spread easily onto your face either if I’m honest. I get eczema on my face so this is a hassle for me as I have to pull my face around :( .. I find that it’s easier to use a foundation brush so it moves a bit more freely.

Less is definitely more with this product too as it can look a little cakey if you apply too much it does take a lot of rubbing in too which also sets off my sensitive skin.

Overall, this foundation does feel soft and smooth at first (after rubbing it in like a maniac) however it doesn’t last very long and after a few hours it looks horrendous on me! I don’t think this is for us dry/sensitive skin girls personally... YSL Touch Éclat foundation beats this by miles (click here for review)
