Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in Hollywood Red

Hey Girls,

 

I got this lipstick recently as I wanted a shade that was pretty close to natural lip shade and this was the closest I could find while hunting around boots (It's like my second home in there) I've never tried any of these lipsticks before but I'm really impressed by this one.

 

 

As you can see you can apply a nice sheer coat which looks really natural or you can really build it up for a bright pop of colour.

I really love the colour of this and it's exactly what I was looking for. I usually apply this lightly just to enhance my natural colour and even that lasts a good few hours. It doesn't dry out my lips either and my lips are prone to a bit of dryness!

 

Overall, I am really impressed by this and would repurchase, I may even purchase a few different colours :)

I've got another review for you today .. I really love these!

 

These baby's are so soft and moisturising and they are just so easy to apply, they are so smooth they just glide on with no tugging. They are not quite a lipstick I'd say but they are thicker than a balm. Sort of like a butter i guess ;)

 

I think the packaging is really cute, it's not too bulky to carry around with you which i like although i do sometimes catch the lip butter when replacing the lid! also, as the shape is a bit different you can feel around in your bag to find them.

 

You can either get a nice sheer wash of colour or build it up for a nice pop, i love the 'lollipop' colour on the weekend as it just so bright and gorgeous. They do have quite a shine to them so if you was after a matte look i don't think these are really for you.

 

These actually last quite a while seeming how soft & buttery they are, I'd say a good couple of hours before you have to reapply. I find that the brighter it is the longer it lasts.

 

I'd say these were a little sticky in my opinion, not that i mind as it's so moisturising but it's not as sticky as a gloss would be. As these are so soft they do go down quite quickly so at £7.99 they are quite expensive but if you pick one up with a 3 for 2 it works out so much cheaper!

 

I really love these and i really recommend, i will definitely be purchasing a few more colours :)

I really like these glossy lip tints, I probably use these the most out of my lip sticks & glosses. I prefer the Lasting Pink as the Forever Fuchsia has a purpley tone to it.

It doesn't last anywhere near 16 hours on me more like 1 or 2 hours at most but it does leave a very subtle colour behind which i like.  I like the smell of this too, it smells like sweets and the wand is a nice heart shape which makes it easy to apply.

I don't feel like this drys my lips out or irritates them but it does dry after a while if that makes sense?

I do like this lip stain however I don't think I love them enough to buy them again, I have recently tried the sleek pout paint which I really like - review to come soon :)

I really like this lipstick although I'd say its leaning more towards a thick gloss maybe? It's really shiney and soft and it doesn't dry out my lips. The packaging is really cute too but quite bulky, but that doesn't bother me.

The colour looks quite sheer in the swatch but this is buildable and can end up REALLY bright if that's what ya fancy.

I'd say it lasts around an hour on me before i have to re apply it but i don't apply it very heavily so maybe that's why. It does keep my lips moisturised for quite a while which i love.

Would definitely repurchase this!

 I bought this as I love my Body shop strawberry lip balm (review here), so I thought I would add another flavour to my collection.

This smells lovely but I think all products from the body shop do! It has a really sheer orange colour but this isn't noticeable on your lips, it just gives a little bit of a shine.

  

 I do like this but I think I prefer my strawberry version as the pinkiness shows up a bit more and adds a bit of colour.

I really like the colour of this but i don't think that the quality is that good for the price. It does feel a bit sticky on your lips and smells a bit funny too. I think there are definitely better products out there and i dont think that i would repurchase this :(

This is quite a sheer colour but i don't feel like it keeps my lips that hydrated to be honest. I much prefer my body shop lip balm (review here) or the sleek pout paints :)

I ♥ this Lip balm..

I think the packaging is really cute although if you have longer nails you can end up giving it a little dig to get the product out.

Its nice and sheer with a pinky tone to it and it smells gorrrrrg too :) It only costs around £2 and i know they do other flavours too, may have to give them a little try ;) xx
